• Contact details: name, company, email address and phone number you provide via our forms.
• Crop and sensor data: measurements from your 2GROW installation, linked to your account.
• Usage data: how you use the dashboard, to improve our service.

What we use your name, company, email address and phone number for:
• Sending your service and analysis reports.
• Your follow-up: questions, advice, installation, faults.
• Internal communication within our team about your account.
• Commercial contact about our own offering: referral campaigns, promotions and news.
Every commercial email has an unsubscribe link. One click and it stops. You will still receive your service and analysis reports, because those are part of your subscription.
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us deliver our service (hosting, dashboard infrastructure, payment processing), each time under a data processing agreement and within the EU/EEA.
There is one nuance to this that is not a third party in the usual sense: we show anonymised group values to other growers within the same crop group, as part of the network benchmarking described in 3.4. We do not share individual or identifiable data in doing so.
We compare measurement results between businesses, so you know how your season compares with similar growers. Such a comparison only exists if it contains data from several businesses. That is why everyone takes part by default.
What goes in
• Values we derive from your sap flow and stem diameter measurements.
• Crop, growing area and planting date, in order to form groups.
• Yield and irrigation figures you provide yourself. If you do not provide them, the comparison simply proceeds without.
Safeguards
• At least eight businesses per crop group. If a group falls below that, the comparison lapses.
• No company names, locations or characteristics by which anyone could single you out.
• Never your raw measurement series, never access to your dashboard.
• Never sold. Not to breeders, not to suppliers, not to buyers.
Would you rather not take part? One email to info@2grow.earth is enough and you do not have to explain why. Your measurements will no longer be counted, but you will still see the comparison in your own report. That is deliberate: your choice not to contribute should not cost you anything. It has no effect on your subscription, your price or your follow-up, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not do the following unless you say yes to it case by case:
• Name your company, quote you or publish about your business.
• Use your individual report or figures commercially, in sales material, on the website, in a presentation or towards another grower.
• Publish your yield or irrigation per m² externally.
• Pass your contact details to a grower who is considering working with us.
If we do ask, it is case by case and in writing. Consent is voluntary, never a condition for anything, and you can withdraw it. You read every text before it appears anywhere. And if we publish about results with your consent, we do so in relative terms: 12% less water at the same yield, not your actual figures.
We use figures covering our entire customer base in commercial material without separate consent, on one condition: it must never be possible to trace whose data it is, and there is no comparison between businesses in it.
Yes
Across all our greenhouses together we see an average of X. One figure from the entire population, without groups.
No
Figures from a single business, or from a group so small or so specific that you are recognisable in it.
We don't keep your data longer than necessary. We retain customer and crop data for up to 3 years after the end of the collaboration; invoicing data for 7 years, as legally required.
We use functional cookies (for the site to work) and analytical cookies (to measure visits). You can manage cookies via your browser settings.
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Request which data we hold about you.
Have incorrect data corrected.
Have your data erased.
Object to certain processing.
Receive your data in a readable format.
Have processing temporarily restricted.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption, access control and regular checks) to protect your data against loss or misuse.
By using our sensors, the dashboard and the services, you accept these terms. The hardware and software remain the property of 2GROW; your crop data remains yours. Our liability is limited to what is legally permitted. These terms are governed by Belgian law; disputes are submitted to the courts of Ghent.
Questions about your data or these terms? Contact us at info@2grow.earth or by post at Krevelstraat 18/102, 9000 Ghent.
